bridal shower.

This past Saturday I had my bridal shower! It was sooo much fun, so many people came and it was just good to see everyone. My aunt Kathy let us have it at her beautiful home in Orem. There was great food, yummy sandwiches from Costco that my mom got and other yummy salads and desserts from other people. Everyone sat and ate and visited for awhile. I had fun playing with this little guest.

Next my aunt Laura had us play the most hilarious game, "kiss Kapena". She printed off a huge picture of him dressed up as Rambo for halloween last year and everyone had to be blind folded and put of bright red lipstick and try to kiss him on the lips.

 Next it was time to open presents! Kapena's mom and Leilani asked Kapena a bunch of questions and I had to answer them correctly in order to open a present, I am pleased to tell you that I knew all but one! 

this mustve been the one i didnt know.. haha!

 The first present I opened was from Kapena's cousin Kim. When I opened the bag I pulled out a card game with a giant "SEX!" on the front. Haha, i'll leave the rest of the gift up to your imagination! Leilani sitting next to me was probably horrified!

As I continued to open my beautiful presents, somebody came in.. Kapena came to surprise me!! It was so much more fun opening gift with him there, because after all, they are for both of us.

Definitely his favorite!

 We got so many beautiful, thoughtful gifts for our home, thank you from the bottoms of our hearts to everybody who came! It was such a wonderful wonderful day.

 

thursday survey. 4/26/2012

1.) Mood:
Anxious. Work needs to over and the weekend needs to be here. And my wedding needs to be here! Stressed too about stupid decorations. I had a really cool idea that involved a dead tree (I would say wait until you see it, but you wont..) and it was going to be really pretty. But the yard guys hauled it away thinking it was garbage. The library is such a big space and this was going to help it look less empty, but I literally have hardly any decorations.

2.) What is your astrological sign and, if you know what it means, do you think it fits you?
I'm an Aries. They are supposedly very independent, which I am becoming more and more in that I am learning to do things by myself and most of the time I want to do it by myself and I don't want help. But let's not kid ourselves, I will always need my mommy. Aries are also very loyal and caring. If you are somebody important to me, I will do anything for you and do my best to make sure you know you are loved.

3.) Is anything exciting happening this weekend?
Yes! I have my bridal shower! I am more excited for this then I was for my birthday. I'm excited for all of our loved ones to come together and celebrate! (and I'm not complaining about the presents either ;)) Also on Friday night I get to watch my precious nephew Brody overnight. It's going to be so fun playing mommy for a night and getting up to change diapers and feed him and cuddle him to sleep. I'm so excited! Then obviously Kapena will be home for the weekend!!


4.) Current nail polish:
Revlon Buttercup, a super flattering creamy pastel yellow. So pretty for spring and will look great with a tan. And Essie's Chinchilli as an accent nail on my ring finger. Its a really pretty warm gray color.

5.) What is your favorite month of the year?
Either December because of Christmas, or May because its warm and school is done, it's just so exciting!

6.) Can you skateboard?
I tried once when I was about 11 and fell right on my tailbone and it knocked the wind right out of me. So ya, I never tried it again.
 
7.) Current outfit:
MINT SKINNY JEANS!! (I have been searching for some for forever) and a cream top and my favorite black wedges with a fishtail side braid.



8.) If you had one selfish wish, what would it be?
For all of my loved ones to live as long as I do so I never have to go through losing somebody.

9.) Cargo pants: yay or nay?
Nay. Although I have seen a couple of cute ones, I just wouldn't know how to pull it off, but I just may try someday.

10.) Weekly goals:
Decorations decorations decorations. That's pretty much it.

This past weekend Kapena played in his spring game for Snow College and he did so amazing! Sadly I wasn't able to make this one, but there was an awesome article posted on the school website. He sort of told me about the game but basically just said "ya, it was good" or "I did pretty good". After hearing from his mom and reading this article I come to find out he pretty much stopped the other team from winning (not taking any credit away from the rest of the team because they obviously did amazing too, I guess I'm just a little bias to him :)) He is the most humble person i've ever met! He is going to be completely embarrassed that I am even writing this, even though he will probably never know cause he doesn't even read my blog! Boy, if he knew the mushy things i'm always writing about him! But I just think he is so amazing and I am so proud of what a hard worker he is, and its things like this that are the reward. I love you honey and am so proud of you!

The White team moved the ball to the Blue 47 with a 1:25 on the game clock while faced with a 4th down and 2.  Following a time-out, the White ran a reverse to Mark Johnson.  All but one, Blue team member went for the fake and it left Kapena Clark and Johnson alone in the open field.  If Johnson was able to shake Clark, then he might have been able to gain much more than the 1st down, but a great open field tackle by Clark ended the drive and in effect ended the game as the Blue team was able to take a knee in the final minute to secure the victory.

thursday survey. (a little late)

 Yes I realize it's Friday, but Thursday survey sounds better.



1.) Mood:
Content, nothing is wrong, nothing is exiting until later. I am excited for my best friend's baby shower tomorrow and going shopping after work!

2.) What do you hear right now?
Crazy by Britney Spears. Nsync radio on pandora is my new thing to listen to at work. I still know every single word to all these songs and no, I am not ashamed. Just boogying my way through 9-5!



3.) Do you have any tattoos?
No sir! Not just because of the fact that i'm LDS, I just have never been a huge fan.

4.) Current nail polish:
China Glaze's Flip Flop Fantasy which is so fun for summer and an accent glitter nail which is also from China Glaze, I just can remember what it's called.


5.) What is your favorite pair of shoes?
That is a hard one.. but probably my black lace up wedges from olsenboye. They look so cute with jeans and dresses. Also because they are wedges they are super easy to walk in.














6.) Current outfit:
Purple skinny jeans, wood and leather wedges, basic beige chiffon and cotton top, second day curls, and plenty of jewelry.

7.) Do you collect anything?
Nail polish and make up for sure. It's not a crazy obsession where I spent loads of money but it is definitely something that I enjoy.

8.) What is your favorite perfume (or body/soap scent if you don't wear perfume)?
I don't wear perfume to often but when I do I use Juicy Viva la Juicy. So yummy. Most the time i'll just use a Pink body spray or my B&BW pink chiffon spray.

9.) Do you feel younger or older than your current age?
I feel older for the most part, in that I have a secure well paying full time job and of course am getting married. But then I also have my moments where I think holy crap I am going to be completely on my own paying bills and going grocery shopping?! I think I'll get the hang of it pretty fast though.

10.) Weekly goals:
Get labels printed so I can get out the invitations, get Melissa's baby shower gifts, go to Kapena's spring game. Not too much!
